On July 25th, 2009 TIWWI hosted NIGHT LIGHTS, a Party Benefiting 826LA. The evening celebrated numerous facets of storytelling, including live music, comedy, a teepee lounge, edible terrarium, and an art sale. Interactive forms of storytelling included a "choose your own adventure" exhibit, a scene in which guests were asked to imagine what took place, a secret-sharing room, imagination stimulation gadgetry, and even a photo charades booth.
826LA is a wonderful organization dedicated to supporting children with their creative and expository writing skills and the teachers and storytellers that inspire them.
